Katonah Bathroom Has Massive Water Damage from Sewage Backup

This lower-level bathroom in Katonah received water damage from a sewage backup. The damage does not look initially bad as seen in the Before Photo. Unfortunately, the black water seeped under the floating floor and it required technicians to remove the tile along with the subfloor for proper drying. The After Photo shows the true amount of damage left behind by the sewage after the removal of the flooring. To inhibit cross-contamination, the area is closed off during extraction and drying. SERVPRO technicians deployed desiccant dehumidifiers to port away the humidity from the area and expedite the drying process. The technicians ready the bathroom for rebuilding after drying and disinfection.
